Την Κυριακή 6 Απριλίου 2014, ο Ελληνικός Ιππικός Όμιλος συμμετείχε στο 2ο πικ-νικ του συλλόγου «Φίλοι της Μέριμνας» στο Λόφο της Κάντζας.
Τα πόνεϊ του Ελληνικού Ιππικού Ομίλου με τη συνοδεία του εκπαιδευτή της Ιππικής Ακαδημίας Μιχάλη Μουζουράκη ήταν και φέτος από τις δημοφιλέστερες δραστηριότητες και προτιμήθηκαν από τα παιδιά ανέμεσα από πολλές άλλες δραστηριότητες.
Οι μικροί επισκέπτες είχαν την ευκαιρία να ιππεύσουν στη φύση και ταυτόχρονα να βοηθήσουν τους σκοπούς του συλλόγου. Τα έσοδα προορίζονται για την Υπηρεσία Παιδιατρικής Ανακούφιστικής Φρoντίδας της Μέριμνας.
